Hi, I’m Alyte. I work as an account manager and do residential real estate at LAH Sothebys. I love being outside, hiking/walking and enjoying nature. I also like to meditate, work on self-development, read, travel, do crafts, paint and draw, learn about new cultures, try new foods and spend time with my friends and family, which includes 2 daughters, ages 12 and 14. I have always loved all animals - big and small - and have always dreamed of having my own rescue. I had my first rescue pitbull, Maya, when I was 26 years old and she definitely sparked my passion for pitbulls. I found out about ATD when Elizabeth helped me with my Bailey. I love being able to combine my love for hiking and the outdoors to take the pups on a boarding breakout. I feel like I have a lot of experience with walking my own large dogs and am able to take out some of the bigger dogs that others may shy away from. My favorite dog so far has been Sprite. I was so excited for him to have his own family, but I definitely spent several days crying and missing him. I got very much attached to him. He reminded me a lot of one of my pups who passed away. Right now, my favorite ATD dog is Tyler. Anyone who has ever met Tyler would have to agree. He is irresistible! I have had 3 white pitties, so I am definitely partial…but I am also very much looking forward to meeting Rhea and Wilbur. For anyone looking to volunteer, there is always room to help in one way or another. It’s easy to give a few hours of your time to go to an event, share posts on social media or take a pup out for a boarding breakout. I often use my volunteer time to connect with my friends and family and go on a hike together while also helping a little buddy in need. It feels so good to be able to give them a little break and I feel like what I get out of it is so much more….they fill me with so much joy and I look forward to seeing them all the time.
