Last month, ATD hosted a Volunteer Dinner for all of our amazing volunteers. It was a time to come together and celebrate our success and the dogs that we have helped in our first 9 months! We certainly had a lot to celebrate!

FOSTER SPOTLIGHT

Hi, my name is Katie and I have been volunteering / fostering with ATD since we started back in August of 2024. I have loved dogs my whole life and grew up with rescue pups. When I started volunteering with animal welfare, I quickly found a passion! I am so proud and thankful to be a part of ATD. We are not a selective breed rescue. We save those in need and it is so rewarding! Fostering with ATD is made easy by the amazing support system and community. My current fosters are Pico, a 1.5-year-old Pitbull mix, and Leo, a 3 month old hound mix. They each have heartbreaking pasts but bright futures. I would recommend volunteering / fostering to anyone who has a heart for dogs and wants to make a difference!

LUNA

Luna is a great and loving addition to our family! She gives the BEST hugs and she’s great with our son. She plays well with our other dogs and nobody is allowed love if she’s not getting it! She lives for affection and naps in bed. Our girl just loves love! My only complaint is she snores louder than my husband! :)

KOBE

When I first met Kobe, he was a ball of energy—always jumping on me, playfully biting my hands, and ready to roughhouse the moment I stepped into the room.

After adopting him and giving him a fresh start with the name Shaggy, he’s transformed into a calm, cool, and collected companion.

My other rescue, Scooby, was initially a bit hesitant around Shaggy due to his size and high energy, but now they’re inseparable - like true brothers. They spend their days chasing each other, and Scooby even jumps on Shaggy to get him riled up for playtime. We recently moved into a new home, and they’ve both settled in beautifully, exploring every corner and loving our daily walks.

Shaggy is a social butterfly, eager to greet every person and dog we pass. He’s also learned to use the doggy door like a pro and enjoys lounging on the patio furniture, soaking up the fresh air.

It’s been an incredible journey watching him adapt, and I couldn’t be happier with how well he fits into our family.

RUE

From the moment we met Rue (formerly Sage), her sweet and gentle personality stole our hearts. After recently losing our beloved dog, we had only planned to foster - but Rue had other ideas! She quickly became part of our family, and we knew she was home for good.

It’s been amazing to watch her thrive! She came out of her shell faster than we expected, showing her playful, curious, and fun-loving spirit. Our other dog, Luna, welcomed her with open paws and has been teaching her all about dog life. Their bond is so special to watch!

Although we were told she wasn’t a fan of car rides, Rue quickly learned they usually lead to fun places. Now, she eagerly hops in and is always excited for the next adventure. She was already crate-trained and house-trained, and her intelligence impresses us every day since she's such a fast learner.

We’re beyond grateful to All The Dogs for giving Rue another chance at life. She’s brought so much joy into our home, and we feel so lucky to be her forever family!

UPCOMING EVENTS

DID YOU KNOW?

All the Dogs is a rescue organized to pull dogs directly from local shelters that are at high risk of euthanasia. We then take those dogs and place them into boarding with one of our boarding partners. We have trainers evaluate the dogs for behavior with humans and other dogs and then we attempt to place them in foster homes until they are adopted. 

The cost of boarding a dog averages at $25/per day ($1,450 a week for the 58 dogs currently in our care). Our boarding partners work with the rescue to keep rates as low as possible. However, boarding and housing is still a cost. Our boarding partners provide safe housing for our dogs as well as beds, blankets, daily cleaning and playtime.  Food is provided by the rescue as well as treats and toys. All vet care, preventatives and medications are provided as well, but are not a part of our boarding costs. Further enrichment, such as walks, certain toys, various playtimes, etc. are also offered at an additional cost to the rescue and are often covered by additional donors.
