WHO WE ARE
We are an animal welfare organization located in Shelby County, Alabama. Our mission is to rescue “priority” dogs (priority dogs are dogs who are at risk of euthanasia due to length of shelter stay, lack of interest from the public, behavioral issues, medical needs, and age) from overcrowded shelters to rehabilitate, rehome, shelter, and provide the love they deserve.
WHAT WE DO:
We provide a safe haven for dogs from over crowded shelters, we offer rehabilitation and adoption services to find loving forever homes. Support our mission today.
WHY WE DO IT:
The need for dog welfare services in our community is significant. Many dogs are abandoned, abused, or neglected, and local shelters are often overcrowded, leading to high euthanasia rates. There is a pressing need for additional resources and organizations dedicated to aiding these animals and shelters. Our organization will help alleviate the strain on local shelters and ensure more dogs receive the care and homes they deserve.
HOW WE DO IT:
Animal shelters in the South are continually at capacity. Everyday animal shelters have to make hard decisions as to who will live and who will die. The shelters evaluate the dogs in their care based on their length of stay, behavior or medical issues, or general lack of interest from the public. This is where we come in. We have a dedicated network of fosters and rescue partners that enable us to take dogs from shelters and give them time to decompress and heal, while we work hard to promote them through our website, weekly on-site events and social media and find them their forever families.
